

It was
announced on June 23
that the 2019 OWL MVP voting will begin on July 25. This year, fans will be voting between five candidates that will be nominated by GM’s of each of the 20 OWL teams. With so many players having incredible years, this is sure to be a tightly contested MVP race.

Voting will take place between July 25 – August 24. Fans can vote either through Twitter or the OWL Twitch channel by using hashtag #OWLMVP followed by the Twitter handle or Battle.net name of the player that you’d like to vote for. Fan votes, in total, will account for 25% of the final voting consideration. The rest will be determined from ballots submitted by the press, coaches, OWL broadcast talent, and general managers.
The winner of the coveted award will be announced at some point during the season playoffs, which are set to begin on August 29. The exact time of the announcement was not revealed in the initial article.

With JJoNaK’s new personalized Zenyatta skin coming as a reward for his winning last year’s MVP award, this year’s award has even higher stakes than last year.
