For the second consecutive day, the Overwatch account has posted a teaser post for what appears to be the game’s 32nd hero. While speculation has already been spinning as to whether this
“Athena Prototype”
will be
Echo or some other character,
there is still little to be gleaned thus far.

From this teaser, it appears that something is breaking out of containment, perhaps flying out of a glass ceiling or window. If flight is truly the escape, Echo looks more and more like she could be the game’s newest hero. If not, the door is opened for a litany of other possibilities.
Expect more on this tomorrow or Thursday form the Overwatch team, if they continue to stay in line with current trends. Releasing the hero this week on the Experimental card or PTR would give players two weeks to test before it could hit live servers on April 2 at the end of the Archives event.
Overwatch hero 32 predictions:
– It’s Echo
– She’ll be released this week (Thursday?) on PTR/Experimental Card
– Goes live with “challenge” event on April 2nd or 3rd, when Archives ends
– Playable in OWL by May— Connor Knudsen (@GoopyKnoopy) March 17, 2020
