Andbox made the move to have their Overwatch League team be located in the APAC region during the last two seasons. There have been debates throughout the seasons about which region is stronger. There can be an argument that can be made for either. This was prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic. These last two seasons have shown mixed results for the team. With the roster being completely reworked the team is also throwing another variable in. The NYXL is going to be heading back to North America.
Though with the NYXL moving back to North America that will create an even bigger imbalance of numbers of teams in the two regions. With North America having more teams this will create more diversity in their matches and not having to play the Shanghai Dragons multiple times within the regular season. This will undoubtedly delight the NYXL fans who have been waking up early in the morning to support their team in the APAC region.
