Fusion University (5-0) vs Toronto Esports (2-3)

August 8th @ 4:00 PM PDT

Fusion University has looked unstoppable all season. Conceding only two games over the course of five matches is a mark that no other team in the league has met this season. Toronto Esports will be looking for a serious upset if they want to snag this one.

Team Envy (4-1) vs Last Night’s Leftovers (3-2)

August 8th @ 6:00 PM PDT

Both of these teams started off relatively slow but have been heating up recently, having each won three consecutive matches. This one could go either way. Team Envy has bigger name players like Caleb “McGravy” McGarvey and Ronnie “Talespin” DuPree that they will be looking to for big plays in the clutch.

Gladiators Legion (3-2) vs NRG Esports (3-2)

August 9th @ 4:00 PM PDT

NRG continues to integrate the versatile DPS player, Rascal, who may be the X-Factor of this series. Both of these teams have struggled on and off this season with consistency, which makes for a very unpredictable series. This one could go either way.

XL2 Academy (5-0) vs Mayhem Academy (2-3)

August 9th @ 6:00 PM PDT

Mayhem Academy is looking for a miracle in this one. XL2 Academy has looked unstoppable this season and are the favorites to meet Fusion University in the finals. Seung-Hyun “WooHyaL” Seong and Liam “Mangachu” Campbell are two of the players on this stacked roster that many believe will be on OWL rosters next season. They can help cement their place with a good playoff run here.

The North American Overwatch Contenders Playoffs begin tomorrow, August 8th at 4:00 PM PDT. The semi-finals will take place on Friday, August 10th at 4:00 and 6:00 PM PDT. You can see the full schedule here and watch all of the games on the Contenders Twitch page.
