The Valiant have had a very streaky history in the Overwatch League. Sometimes they look like a huge threat, while other times they look horrifyingly bad. They will hope to ditch this streaky factor going into next season. LA is a premier sports destination these days, and their teams have seen plenty of success in the past. In other words, the Valiant have a lot to live up to. Their overall performance really doesn’t affect their home venue too much though, so here’s a look at that instead.
Stadium Overview
LA has an insane amount of sports teams, so listing every single one would make this article much too long. LA’s baseball teams both play at Stadiums named after themselves. Staples Center hosts the Clippers and the Lakers of the NBA as well as the NHL’s Kings. The Ducks play at the Honda Center. Both LA NFL teams currently await the completion of SoFi Stadium, which they will both call home. As of right now, the Rams play at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum while the Chargers play at the Dignity Health Sports Park. And that’s honestly just scratching the surface. LA has more sports teams than can be counted on two hands, and this massive city needs all that it can take to satisfy its appetite for sports.
Home Venue: The Novo
Located in L.A. LIVE, the self-proclaimed entertainment capital of the world, the Novo is a 2,400 seat venue that will work very well for the Los Angeles Valiant. An impressive list of music acts have played here in the past, as Beck, Coldplay, Ariana Grande, BTS, and Linkin Park have all performed to audiences here. It is also available to be rented out to corporate parties and the like, but realistically it’s more known for the acts above. The Valiant are in pretty good company playing here, that’s for sure, and the venue itself is definitely equipped to accommodate them.
