The latest announcement from the highly anticipated roster reveal for the London Spitfire is here. On Tuesday January 5, the London Spitfire promoted British Hurricane main support Kristian “Kellex” Kellar to the 2021 roster. By joining the London Spitfire, Kellex will now play on his third Overwatch League team.

Kellex was the most recent addition to the British Hurricane, and one of the most veteran players on the squad. Despite joining late to the roster, Kellex had no issue integrating immediately to the team. No doubt his vast Overwatch League experience helped the rest of the team grow as a monster in the European Contenders scene.

Kellex’s experience in the Overwatch League will be one of the keys of success for the London Spitfire. Like his support duo Riku “Ripa” Toivanen, Kellex was a part of the Inaugural Season of the Overwatch League. Beginning with the Boston Uprising, Kellex shined as one of the most consistent main supports in the league. He helped Boston complete a perfect 10-0 stage, as well as finish in the top 4 for the Inaugural Season. The 2019 season was a little less impressive, thanks to varying different issues within the Boston Uprising locker room.
For 2020, Kellex played for the Toronto Defiant before joining the British Hurricane. Kellex and the Defiant found themselves struggling the league transitioned to mainly online play. After several disappointing matches, Kellex announced he would be stepping away from Overwatch at the time.
Now back and better than ever, Kellex rejoins the league with the London Spitfire. Kellex, alongside former Boston Uprising teammate Jeffery “blasé” Tsang, looks to have a bounce back season in the Overwatch League in 2021.
