The London Spitfire has continued the refueling process by reuniting with an old friend. On November 3rd, 2021 the team announced the return of Main Tank Daniel “Hadi” Bleinagel. The tank Chad himself returns to the team he played for during the 2021 season.
We could not live without our Tank. Where did that bring us? Back to him.

Hadi was promoted to the team’s main roster for the 2021 season after a dominant run with the Spitfire’s Academy team the British Hurricane. During his run in contenders, he was a force to be feared. Leading the team to one of the most oppressive runs in the history of the T2 scene. With a near-perfect year of championships. His first run in the Overwatch League however was not as successful.
The team struggled to find their footing all season long, and despite some quality performances from each member, they were only able to find victory once. Hadi has personally expressed disappointment in how the season went, stating that he has more to show. His prior success though should still hold weight. In Contenders, he was able to showcase his skill across all main tank heroes. In Overwatch 2, a flexible Tank player like Hadi should be at the top of any team’s wishlist.

2021 was a disaster for the Spitfire. That is undeniable. That being said, giving players like Hadi a second chance to prove their quality is not a bad option. He is familiar with the team’s system, has shown great performances in the past, and has the potential still to reclaim his former glory. It is a bit of a gamble of course. Hopefully, with an upgraded coaching staff of proven talent, Hadi will become Chadi once more.
