After so much waiting for so many fans, the Overwatch 2 PVP Beta has finally been announced. With it will come all-new maps and more importantly a new hero. Coming with this beta will be the first look at Sojourn, the first next hero to come to Overwatch in nearly three years. With her will be four new maps, two of them as an additional part of the new game mode, Push. Not only this but fans will get a chance to see the reworked Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion and Sombra. Many of these heroes have been needing changes for a while and this will gives fans a chance to see what the dev team has been cooking up.

The last addition and something fans have really been asking for is the ping system. Many other games already have this and with Overwatch needing so much communication this should help for those who can’t use a mic or who do not have one.

This is a very exciting addition for fans who have been waiting for so long for something new in Overwatch. When the skins team said that they had a lot more coming, they were clearly not kidding. This beta will be swarming with players doing everything they can to get in.

Unfortunately, this is not a completely public beta. Only those who are picked in the Overwatch 2 Beta Sign Up will actually be able to get in. While likely they will continue to open it up to more and more people, it will be a wait for many.
