On Thursday October 15, the Guangzhou Charge began their off-season with a late night announcement. The Charge released main support Alberto “neptuNo” González , along with fellow main support Jung-yeon “Chara” Kim.
NeptuNo leaves the team just after one season, while Chara becomes a free agent after two years. NeptuNo was the starter for the start of the season, up until visa issues become a persistent issue. Chara stepped in and helped the Charge finish 18-7 for the season.

However, the Charge we not done making roster changes. A few hours later, the Guagzhou Charge announced their decision to release two more players – Cai “Krystal” Shilong and Qi “Wya” Haomiao.
Wya was touted as an exciting pickup for the Charge at the start of the season, but rarely saw play time this year. Like neptuNo, Wya had issues with his visa once COVID-19 became a global pandemic. Krystal was a mid-season addition that shocked plenty of fans of both the Charge and the Spark. Krystal remained on the bench for the season, as the Charge attempted to figure out the best way to utilize the former Spark DPS.
