Guangzhou Charge Announce Visa Issues with neptuNo and Wya

Tiffany PurcellBy Tiffany PurcellApril 24, 20202 Mins Read

The Guangzhou Charge have released an official statement on Twitter revealing that main support player Alberto “neptuNo” González Molinillo will be unable to stay in South Korea with his teammates. This is due to visa expiration. The announcement further explains that because of COVID-19, it has been a struggle to manage visas and keep their international team together.

The post also confirms that Chinese flex support player Qi “Wya” Haomiao has been unable to join his teammates in South Korea, also due to visa issues. The organization is working with both players to help them acquire the visas that would allow them to reunite with their teammates.

The announcement mentions that neptuNo “may not be able to play in matches until he returns to the Asia region.” It is not a definite statement, but due to technical issues such as ping it is very unlikely that they would be able to bring him in. Jungyeon “Chara” Kim will presumably sub in until neptuNo can make his way back to South Korea. Chara was the main support for the Charge throughout the 2019 season so he should be able to slot in seamlessly.
