Florida Mayhem Add CH0R0NG and Sauna For 2023 Season

It looks as though it is the Florida Mayhem’s turn to announcement their offseason signings. On Wednesday January 4, the Florida Mayhem announced the addition of former Toronto Defiant main support Yoo-min “CH0R0NG” Sung and Contenders DPS Paavo “Sauna” Ulmanen.

CH0R0NG spent his rookie season with the Toronto Defiant last season, in what looked to be an up and down season for the team. The Defiant finished 7th overall with a 12-12 record – perfectly average in the Overwatch League. Despite the team’s mediocre appearance, CH0R0NG proved to be an exciting addition to the league. He is a solid main support that can provide plenty of stability and reliability in a position that requires the most consistent performance. CH0R0NG joins Rupal “Rupal” Zaman to fill out the Florida Mayhem support line for 2023.

Sauna joins the Mayhem after several seasons of success in European Contenders. He has bounced around a bit from team to team, but he has spent the majority of his play time with Ex Oblinvione and Shu’s Money Crew. Sauna plays several different heroes, especially excelling on Tracer. Sauna joins the Mayhem as the third DPS player with Seung-han “Checkmate” Baek and Tae-min “MER1T” Choi rounding out the position.

With the signing of CH0R0NG and Sauna, the Florida Mayhem appear to have their roster set for the 2023 season. The Mayhem will look to improve on their 7-8th finish from the 2022 season. Currently there is no announced start date for the Overwatch League, leaving fans to wait and wonder just how good this Mayhem team will be.
