Overwatch is making a comeback in 2026, with the release of 10 new Heroes and so much more announced in their 2026 Spotlight. Here’s everything we know so far about what to expect in Overwatch this year.
Overwatch 2 Roadmap for 2026
First off, Overwatch has revealed a roadmap for 2026, unveiling a new seasonal model that will reset to Season 1 with each new year. You can see in the image above just how much is coming to OW this year.

Perhaps the biggest addition to Overwatch in 2026 is the 10 new Heroes, with five releasing on February 10 with the start of Season 1. While details of all 10 are currently unknown, we do have exact information about what to expect from the first five new Heroes.
Overwatch is now just that, Overwatch. The “2” has been dropped as developers attempt to recreate the image of the franchise moving into 2026.
Overwatch is adding new subroles in 2026, with all Heroes now falling under a new category besides the standard Tank, Damage, and Support. The new subclasses are:

A Hello Kitty cosmetic collaboration was also announced, showing a glimpse into what is next for the game’s cosmetics in 2026. Expect more like this as the game continues to expand its audience.
