“Learning from Every Decision” – Head Coach Aero Leaves Dallas Fuel

Dallas Fuel coaches

Coach Aaron “Aero” Atkins has been released from his position as head coach of the Dallas Fuel. The Overwatch League team announced on its twitter Monday evening that he and the team had parted ways. Aero has been head coach of the Fuel since May of 2018.

The announcement comes as the third in a line of departures from the Dallas Fuel, as the organization announced it had parted ways with Gui-un “Decay” Jang and assistant coach Louis “Tikatee” Lebel-Wong earlier in the day.

This shakeup in the Dallas Fuel organization comes with only three weeks left in the regular season. Coach Yongjin “Yong” Kim will serve as interim head coach to finish out the rest of the 2020 season.

Atkins shared his thoughts on his personal twitter account, stating in part, “…the best thing you can do is keep moving, learning from every decision along the way. I’ve always wanted nothing but success and happiness for the orgs, players, and staff that I’ve had the opportunity to work with.”

So far, Aero says he is weighing his options for his future plans.

Aero joined the Dallas Fuel as head coach in 2018, and also served as head coach of the USA Overwatch World Cup team in 2018 and 2019. USA took the gold at BlizzCon in 2019. He also served as a coach of FNRGFE and Fusion University prior to signing with the Fuel.
