Crowd Control Changes No Longer Experimental

overwatch cc patch

After spending a week on the experimental card, many of the Crowd Control (CC) changes have been pushed through to the live server. Patch 1.47.1 set out to decrease the effects of CC across the board.

The following hero balance changes have been made. The community has always been vocal with widely varying opinions about CC abilities. One of the biggest culprits is Mei, who has a hard freeze on both her primary fire and her Ultimate Ability. While this appears to make all heroes less effective, Roadhog’s change actually increases the damage that his Ultimate Ability is able to put out

Notably absent from these changes is the Brigitte stun nerf that appeared on the experimental card. This change would have reduced her stun from 0.75 seconds to 0.65 seconds. It is the only change not pushed through to the live server from that card. Additionally, many people have expressed concern that characters such as Doomfist and Wrecking Ball have been left out. Every one of Doomfist’s abilities is able to stun or displace enemies, but a sweeping CC nerf has left him off. There could be more CC changes coming to the experimental card soon, so TGH will keep an eye out and provide updates as needed
