Breaking: LA Gladiators Sign Ripa

Publish Date: November 28, 2018

In a sudden turn of events, the Los Angeles Gladiators have signed Riku “Ripa” Toivanen. While everyone thought that the Gladiators were getting rid of their current support duo Benjamin “BigGoose” Isohanni and Jonas “Shaz” Suovaara, it turned out to be a trick from the team. Fans can rejoice in learning that BigGoose and Shaz are going nowhere!

Ripa, who is only 17, is a Finnish support player, previously of Team Gigantti. Team Gigantti boasted the talents of BigGoose and Shaz before they made the jump to the Overwatch League. He mainly plays Zenyatta and Moira. This completes the Finnish Support Trio for the Gladiators.

The initial tweet from the Gladiators brought chaos upon the Overwatch community, with various professionals and fans confused at the announcement. The two tweets were 30 minutes apart, and had the Overwatch community going crazy. Speculation about where the support duo would land was widespread. Rumors of them joining the Washington D.C. or Vancouver expansion teams spread like wildfire.

How much did this situation stress you out?
