The Philadelphia Fusion have announced that they have traded flex player Choi “Hotba” Hong-joon to the Guangzhou expansion team. Before the Overwatch League, Hotba was a member of LW Red and is most well known as an off tank.
Trade Alert: The Fusion have traded @HOTBA_OW to @OWL_TeamGZ, the new expansion team of the @overwatchleague.
We thank HOTBA for all his hard work during our inaugural season and wish him good luck with Team Guangzhou! pic.twitter.com/mKfc5TX2vR

Though he is considered a flex player, Hotba is most well known for D.VA and Zarya gameplay. Along with some incredible self-destructs, Hotba surprised the Overwatch League with his Tracer gameplay, showcasing his talent on multiple roles. He mainly played during stage four of the inaugural season, alongside main tank Kim “SADO” Su-min after SADO’s suspension was lifted for account boosting.
Hotba is the first confirmed player of the new Guangzhou roster. The Fusion community will miss him, but he is sure to bring some fierce competition next season.
Good luck, Hotba!
