After days of teasing fans with still photos, picture changes and promises- the Atlanta Reign have finally announced their 2020 roster. The 2-minute reveal video immediately slugs fans in the gut, showing despondent players lamenting the end of last season. During the emotional segment, a chair spins around to reveal Anthony “Fire” King.
Hailing from Team Envy, the support player is a household name in the Overwatch Contenders scene. Rumors were swirling that he had been picked up by the Reign as part of their pledged 12-man roster, but nothing had been confirmed.
We're here to avenge ourselves.

The ending of the video held a surprise that a lot of Atlanta Reign supporters had been hoping for. The somber tone was instantly uplifted when fans heard the familiar voice of Steven “Kodak” Rosenberger at the door. The fan-favorite support was a two-way player at the start of the Reign’s 2019 season before moving to the Atlanta Academy OW Contenders team full time.
These additions complete the Reign’s 12-man roster, ensuring an incredibly talented depth. Kodak and Fire will bolster Atlanta through the new shift to a “hero pool” system, allowing them a wider range of players and hero specialties to take on the season.
