The initial Beta releases a week before the start of the fifth season of the Overwatch League. On the following day, the Overwatc team will host the Beta Bash Livestream on Twitch. The livestream will feature content creators squaring off against one another as they show off the new look of Overwatch. The livestream will feature appearances from Overwatch League casters and hosts who will interview members of the Overwatch team to talk about the beta launch.

Players will also have the chance to earn beta keys through the week by tuning into select Twitch streamers. Viewers can earn drops that will contain an Overwatch 2 Beta key. Once a player earns that drop, they are all set to go and join in the fun. Only users that have synced up their Battle.Net account with Twitch will be eligible for the drops.
