Season 3 of Overwatch 2 is coming very soon. As was announced things will be switching between a new map and a new hero with each season. This is the first time players will have just a map coming out. This new one looks to be a place players have been before but in a different mode. Here is the Season 3 addition to Overwatch 2, the Antarctic Peninsula Control Map.

Below are some pictures of the new Control map. The newest maps before this had been mostly the newest game mode Push along with Escort. Specifically, this will be the first new control map since August of 2018.
This looks to to be one of the major control points on this area of the map. It also looks to be on a ship or liner of some type with big cranes and the massive main structure of the ship in the middle.
This looks to be an area leading to one of the control points. It is most notable to see the Overwatch logo in green here.
Finally, an area that will be warm. This could be the starting area for one of the maps, likely relating to the one seen above with the green Overwatch logo.
There is no doubt that fans may enjoy this part of the control map. It looks like it will have plenty of cover in a big area. Along with this, it is under the ice, which is pretty cool.
This may be an insignificant part of the map itself but showing off the sky is certainly worth it here.
The full map details have not been released yet. Once they are known, this article will be updated. Until then, it will be interesting to see how fans react to Overwatch 2’s first new map and one that was not leaked or known about in a previous teaser.
