Overwatch 2 Freja Revealed

Publish Date: February 13, 2025

Last year we were given a good idea of the heroes getting added to Overwatch 2 early in the year. The devs have decided to do the same thing in 2025 and gave us one full hero that will be coming soon and another that will be released down the road. The one that will be joining in the next few months is Freja. Here is a quick look at Freja and her addition to Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 Freja

In Overwatch 2 Freja will be a Damage character. She was formerly the best Search and Rescue Specialist that Overwatch had. Now she is a Bounty Hunter that can find her target as well as anyone. Freja will be the first hero or villain from Denmark. While a similar culture, she is from a different part of Europe than Sigma who is from the Netherlands.

Overwatch 2 Freja Release Date

While players will be able to play Freja on a trial basis with Season 15 on February 18, 2025, her actual release date will be with Season 16 in April. The exact date is currently unknown but April 15, 2025 is a good date to shoot for. Mainly because Overwatch 2 normally releases new seasons on a Tuesday and around 60 days after the last season. There is a chance it could be the Friday of that week or the week after but April 15 is a pretty safe guess at this time. Once they get closer this will be revealed and we will make sure to update this.
