The Pokemon Legends Z-A roster remains a bit of a mystery, even despite the Pokemon Day trailer that revealed some of its eventual roster. So, to help fans get inspired and fill in the blanks, here is one wish-list Pokemon that we would love to see in this game from each generation, from a long-time fan and former VGC competitor. These will be out of the Pokemon that have not been confirmed for the game thus far.

What Gen 1 Pokemon do we most want to see in Pokemon Legends Z-A?
Our pick: Growlithe & Arcanine
- Very few Gen 1 Fire types confirmed so far (only Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, and Flareon)
- Author’s favorite Pokemon (had to do it)
- Arcanine is a fan-favorite
- Would be exciting to see in the new battle format
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 2 Pokemon
Our pick: Slowking
- Underutilized Pokemon
- Great vessel for creating lore
- Can speak
- This would mean the addition of Slowpoke and Slowbro
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 3 Pokemon
Our pick: Kecleon
- Hasn’t been in a game since Sun & Moon (Gen 7)
- Tons of potential for in-city stealth
- Very few confirmed Normal types so far
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 4 Pokemon
Our pick: Croagunk & Toxicroak
- Would fit right into the back alleys of Lumiose City
- Another fan-favorite
- Adds a good Poison-type option

One Pokémon from every Generation that we want to see in Pokémon Legends Z-A!
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 5 Pokemon
Our pick: Pawniard & Bisharp
- Very unique typing (Dark/Steel)
- Very few Steel types confirmed so far
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 6 Pokemon
Our pick: Amaura & Aurorus
- Only appeared in a few select games
- Great type combination (Rock/Ice)
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 7 Pokemon
Our pick: Oranguru & Passimian
- Fun to have Pokemon combinations like these for side quests and storylines
- Great designs
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 8 Pokemon
Our pick: Cufant & Copperajah
- Another great Steel type
- Great design
Pokemon Legends Z-A Wish-List: Gen 9 Pokemon
Our pick: Nacli, Naclstack, and Gargancl
- It looks like a skyscraper, so it only makes sense that it is in a city
- Fun, three-evolution Rock type
- Could be an interesting one to see in the new battle system
