Tarasenko Returns Wednesday Against the Oilers

The St.Louis Blues confirmed that Vladimir Tarasenko will return to the lineup tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. Tarasenko, 27, missed the last five games due to an upper-body injury. Since his absence, the Blues were 1-2-2. They still sit third in the Central Division and lead the Dallas Stars by two points. Having Tarasenko in the line-up can help the Blues maintain being third in the Central Division.

He will be back on the first-line with Brayden Schenn and Ryan O’Reilly. The Russian winger has been very effective with Schenn and O’Reilly as linemates. In 13 games the linemates combined for 56 points (21 goals, 35 assists). During these contests, the Blues record was 13-0. Tarasenko scored 28 goals and totals 58 points this season.

The Blues vs Oilers game starts at 8 p.m. ET (ET; SN1, SNE, SNO, SNP, FS-MW, NHL.TV)
