Tampa Bay Lightning win Back to Back Stanley Cups

The Tampa Bay Lightning are back to back Stanley Cup Champions as they have defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-1 in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Lightning completely dominated this series, outscoring the Canadiens 17-8. The path to the Lightning’s third Stanley Cup in franchise history was pretty difficult, having to go through the Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders and finally the Montreal Canadiens. Meanwhile, the Montreal Canadiens had a Cinderella run on their own, upsetting the Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets and the Vegas Golden Knights, but were eventually defeated by the Lightning in 5 games. 

The Tampa Bay Lightning had many key contributors during this cup run that led them to win back to back Stanley Cups.

The most important player for the Tampa Bay Lightning during their cup run had to be Andrei Vasilevskiy who was also awarded with the Conn Smythe for the most valuable player during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Vasilevskiy had an unreal playoffs, finishing with a record of 16-7 and had 1.90 goals against average and 0.937 save percentage.
