The Panthers and Flyers are talking about a potential Keith Yandle and Shayne Gostisbehere trade.
The Flyers and Panthers are rumored to talk about a Yandle for Gostisbehere swap. Both offensive defensemen have big contracts and have been circling trade rumors. The Panthers want to get younger on defense, so trading a veteran defenseman like Yandle will clear space for younger guys. As for the Flyers, over the last few seasons, Gostisbehere has really regressed his production. A change of scenery for Yandle and Gostisbehere will benefit them and their teams.
The Maple Leafs are likely to trade Travis Dermott for forward depth. The Canadiens are also looking to trade Victor Mete for forward depth.
Two young defensemen could be on the move as the Canadiens and Leafs are interested to improve their forward depth. The Leafs have a plethora of left-hand defensemen including Morgan Rielly, Jake Muzzin, Mikko Lehtonen, Rasmus Sandin, and more. To make room for Lehtonen and Sandin in their top 6, Dermott could be on his way out. Mete has been developing in Montreal for a few years but hasn’t lived up to his potential. He doesn’t have much room to grow and could be traded for a fresh start.
The St. Louis Blues may look to trade Vince Dunn
Vince Dunn is an intriguing name being thrown out in trade talks. Dunn has started the season out very disappointing as the addition of Torey Krug pushed Dunn out of his role in St.Louis. The Blues are exploring the options of trading him and have scratched Dunn for the last couple of games. The value of Dunn is set as a first-round pick with the Rangers, Bruins, and Jets being possible suitors for Dunn.
The Buffalo Sabres are looking to trade for a veteran goaltender
With the moves the Buffalo Sabres have made during the offseason, they have established themselves as contenders and are trying to make a big playoff push with the addition of Taylor Hall. The biggest place they need to improve is in net as they have Carter Hutton and Linus Ullmark in net which can definitely be improved upon. The Sabres have been calling some teams and are looking to trade for a Western conference goalie. A couple of options they are looking at include Marc-Andre Fleury and Antti Raanta.
