NHL Players on the Trade Block

poised for a big run

Aleksander Barkov

Many GMs throughout the league have speculated that Aleksander Barkov will not stay in Florida once his contract is up. This is major news as many teams will be interested in a true #1 center for their teams. The Panthers on the other hand could try to trade Barkov, if he intends to leave, for a surplus of assets. It will be interesting to see if Barkov will be traded from Florida and if so, what will it cost teams to trade for him.

Teams that could be interested: Rangers, Jets, Blue Jackets

Pierre-Luc Dubois

Pierre-Luc Dubois has not been happy in Columbus, being upset at management and having other displeasures with the team. Dubois has made it clear that he wants to be traded from the Blue Jackets and almost every GM has contacted the Blue Jackets in an attempt to trade for him. Right now, it is unclear whether the Blue Jackets will decide to shop Dubois, but if they do, it will be interesting to see where he will go.

Teams that could be interested: Canadiens, Rangers, Jets

Keith Yandle

It seems like Keith Yandle’s time in Florida is all but over with Panther’s coach Joel Quenneville stating that he would rather have younger players get playing time instead of the 34 year-old veteran defenseman. With that being said, Yandle could be traded to a contender team to help them bolster their left side. The only problem is Yandle’s large contract which is scaring teams from trading for him.

Teams that could be interested: Bruins, Rangers, Canucks

Anthony DeAngelo

Tony DeAngelo was a healthy scratch for Game 2 of the season versus the New York Islanders. This is big news as DeAngelo was an offensive beast last season, however, there are some red flags when it comes to his defensive game. The Rangers are in desperate need of an LHD and with their right-hand side being filled with good offensive defensemen, DeAngelo could be on his way out.

Teams that could be interested: Flames, Maple Leafs, Canucks

Jack Rosolvic

Jack Rosolvic has expressed his frustration with the Winnipeg Jets, not giving him enough ice time, and has requested a trade from the Jets. Rosolvic is a young unsigned RFA, that has some upside when given enough playing time in a different environment. Many teams have inquired on Rosolvic as a cheap middle 6 option.

Teams that could be interested: Penguins, Maple Leafs, Hurricanes
