Kyle Palmieri Replaces Taylor Hall for the All-Star Game

Publish Date: January 19, 2019

New Jersey Devils forward Kyle Palmieri will replace his teammate Taylor Hall for the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game.

Hall will miss the All-Star festivities for the second consecutive year due to injury. Hall’s last game was Dec .23 and is expected to return shortly after the All-Star break and the team’s bye week.

Missing the All-Star game requires the selected player to sit out one regular season game. Since Hall did not play on Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks, the game counts as the one missed.

Palmieri is having a career year scoring 38 points (22 goals and 16 assists) in 47 games. The forward will represent the Metropolitan Division and will take part in the skills competition. This will be Palmieri’s first career All-Star game.

The  2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game will on Jan.26 at SAP Center in San Jose (8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS).
