Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has been notified that he will not play in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears. Wilson had a record of 5-2 this season before being benched by the team. Both losses came against their division rivals, the New England Patriots.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Wilson missed the first three games of the season after receiving surgery for a meniscus tear in the preseason. He also suffered a bone bruise. In his first game of the season, he led a come-from-behind victory.
In seven games so far this season, Wilson has thrown four touchdowns to five interceptions. He’s thrown for 1,279 yards on 55.6 percent completion percentage, which is the same completion percentage he had in 13 games last year.
