The Buffalo Bills have lost their prized, expensive signing for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season. Von Miller was placed on IR with the intent to have him return to the field. However, he’s undergone surgery on his ACL, knocking him out for the year.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Miller won his second Super Bowl last season with the Rams after being traded to Los Angeles at the trade deadline. He played eight regular season games for them, sacking the quarterback five times and grabbing 31 tackles.
His turn-back-the-clock performance led to a six-year, $120 million deal with the Bills in the offseason. In 11 games he’s deflected two passes, forced a fumble, collected eight sacks and had 21 combined tackles. He’ll now have to aim for a 2023 return.
