Linebacker Von Miller has agreed to a one-year deal to sign with the Dallas Cowboys, according to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport.
Miller’s deal is worth $5.5 million and has a maximum value of $7.5 million. He’s is entering his 15th season in the league and currently has more sacks (138.5) than any other active player in the NFL.
Miller, 37, had his best season since 2021 with the Commanders last year, totaling 26 tackles and nine sacks in 17 games played. Miller was a former second overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and has been named to the Pro Bowl eight times and earned All-Pro honors seven times. He is also a two-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl 50 MVP.
Miller adds some much-needed depth and experience to a Cowboys defensive line that has undergone quite a few changes since they decided to trade Micah Parsons in a blockbuster deal last year to the Green Bay Packers. Last week, the Cowboys signed defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to a three-year, $105.9 million extension and now have added Miller as well.
Miller figures to round out a pass-rush rotation that includes Rashan Gary, Donovan Ezeiruaku and first-round pick Malachi Lawrence.
