Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson is finally designated to return from injured reserve. Jefferson was placed on IR on September 24, 2022 and has not played a game yet this season. These were the first games Jefferson has missed since entering the NFL.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Jefferson earned a Super Bowl ring with Los Angeles in 2022, grabbing four receptions for 23 yards in the win. In the regular season last year, he had 802 yards and six touchdowns on 50 receptions in the Rams’ high-flying offense.
The Rams had their bye week in Week 7, and have put up a subpar record of 3-3 based on their Super Bowl champion expectations. Part of the problem has been a lackluster offense outside of Cooper Kupp. Jefferson’s return will certainly help open up their passing game.
