Uchenna Nwosu signs with Seattle Seahawks

Uchenna Nwosu Seahawks

Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is leaving the Los Angeles Chargers. He has reportedly signed with the Seattle Seahawks on a contract worth $20 million over two years. $10.5 million of his new deal with the Seahawks is guaranteed.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Before this deal was struck, the Chargers were the only team Nwosu had ever played for in the NFL. He was drafted out of USC in the second round by Los Angeles. He played there for four complete seasons, but became a full-time starter in 2021.

In his 17 games (15 starts) last season, Nwosu managed 40 combined tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception and four passes defended. Every one of those numbers was a career high for him, ahead of his free agency year.
