Taylor was a sixth round selection in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. Since being drafted, he has bounced around to five teams, including the Texans, with whom he is spending his first season. Taylor has started only five games in 2021, completing 86 passes for a 62.8 completion percentage. He has five passing touchdowns to four interceptions, adding on three rushing touchdowns as well.
His replacement, Mills, was the Texans’ first pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, all the way down in the third round. The former Stanford quarterback has seven touchdowns and eight interceptions in his seven games in the NFL. The 2-10 Texans will take on the 4-8 Seahawks in Week 14.
