Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett suffered a finger injury in Thursday Night’s loss against the 49ers. The injury is categorized as a “spiral crack.” Lockett will need a quick surgery to alleviate the injury, hopefully missing only one game.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
In 14 games this season, Lockett has collected 78 receptions for 964 yards and eight touchdowns. His eight touchdowns are two shy of his career high in scores. If he plays the final two games, it will match his career high in games played in a single season.
Lockett will have surgery on his finger to fix the fracture, which the team hopes will only cost him one game. The exact timetable for his return will be unknown until after the surgery, but Seattle hopes to have him back for Week 17 and 18.
