The Bengals have placed two players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Running back Samaje Perine and offensive lineman Jackson Carman will both be out after being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
It is unclear how long the two players will remain on the COVID list. It is also not known whether or not Carmen and Perine are vaccinated or unvaccinated. Unvaccinated players are more susceptible to contracting the virus, but the players could also have “breakthrough” cases.
With Joe Mixon nursing some injuries, the Bengals were giving Perine a more robust workload. Chris Evans is the third back in Cincinnati. The Bengals’ other right guard, Xavier Sua-Filo, is on injured reserve. The team will have to do some shuffling on the offensive line to replace Carman.
