Free agent quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will sign with the Atlanta Falcons for the league minimum, according to Tom Pelissero. He will make $54 million in 2026, but most of that will be covered by the Dolphins, who will cut him as soon as the league year opens.
Tagovailoa, 28, spent the first six seasons of his career with the Dolphins and made one Pro Bowl. He has passed for 18,166 yards, 120 touchdowns and 59 interceptions on 68 percent completion. Tagovailoa has struggled with head injuries early in his career.
In Atlanta, he will join a quarterback room that includes Michael Penix Jr. They will have a new head coach, Kevin Stefanski, as the Falcons look to push the offense forward.
