Pro Bowl offensive lineman Trai Turner is returning to the state in which he played college football. Turner has agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints, although the exact monetary details of the deal are yet unknown at time of writing.
The New Orleans Saints’ official Twitter reported the news themselves on Tuesday.
Turner was originally drafted in the third round back in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He was chosen out of Louisiana State University. After six years as a Panther, he bounced around to three different teams, each for just one year. Most recently Turner was a Washington Commander.
He made the Pro Bowl as a guard five times consecutively, from 2015-2019. Last season, he played in 16 games, starting 12 of them. Turner played 69 percent of the offensive snaps for which he was available and 12 percent of special teams snaps.
