
Dallas Cowboys’ running back Tony Pollard suffered a broken leg in the team’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. It is a fractured left fibula, which will require surgery and has a three-month recovery time according to Todd Archer.
The injury occurred with under two minutes left in the first half after Pollard made an eight-yard catch. At the time of the injury, the game was tied 6-6.
Pollard, 25, is a four-year pro, who is an impending free agent. He had 1,378 total yards and 12 touchdowns, which helped him get selected to his first career Pro Bowl. In his career, Pollard has rushed for 2,616 yards, has 1,008 receiving yards and has totaled 22 touchdowns.
