Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Todd Downing was arrested on Thursday night. Following a 27-17 win over the Packers on Thursday Night football, Downing was arrested for driving under the influence at 4:39am and released at 6:46am.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Downing has had an interesting NFL coaching journey since entering the league in 2001. He held three separate positions in the Minnesota Vikings’ front office from 2001-2004, finally joining the coaching ranks with the same team in 2005.
He, then, held two coaching jobs with the Rams before bouncing around to four different teams, holding eight various positions on offensive coaching staffs. Downing was promoted to the Titans’ offensive coordinator position in 2021 after being the tight ends coach with Tennessee in 2019-2020.
