The Titans impressed once again on Sunday with a dominant win at the Oakland Raiders. The 42-21 win is the fourth win in a row for the Titans who have now won six of their last seven. With the win, the Titans are now tied for the lead in the AFC South.
What on October 13 was an entirely unrealistic shot at the playoffs is now a heated race going into the final three games. The Titans are 6-1 since that dreadful 16-0 shutout to the Broncos. They’ll have two games against Houston left to make their shot at the playoffs.
Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry once again had outstanding games. They were both big reasons for the win. The duo has been the leader in keeping the team steady on a playoff run the last two months.
Tannehill was 21/27 on the day for 391 yards and three touchdowns. His lone interception came on a batted pass on the line of scrimmage that led to an Oakland score. Henry’s 103 yards on the ground punished the Raiders and led to two scores as well for the Titans’ running back.
The defense held Oakland to just 21 points all in the first half. They sealed the deal in the beginning of the fourth quarter on a 46-yard scoop and score by Jayon Brown. The Titans continue to show out in the second half as they outscored the Raiders 21-0.
The Titans take on the Houston Texans at home next week in an AFC South showdown at Nissan Stadium.
