Three teams that could end the Eagles undefeated streak

Publish Date: October 21, 2022

It is obviously really hard to go the whole season without losing a game in the regular season. There are only a handful of teams that have actually accomplished this. The most recent being the 2007 New England Patriots. This was during the infamous Bill Belichick and Tom Brady Era where they would win six Super Bowls together. However, the Patriots did not win the Super Bowl during that season. Peyton Manning and the Colts won the Super Bowl in 2007. The only team that did have a perfect regular season and win the Super Bowl was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. With that being said, the odds are not in the Eagles’ favor to have a perfect season. So what are three teams that may snap the Eagles’ undefeated streak?

The Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are actually the Eagles’ next Opponent. They started the season 0-4, but they recently snapped that streak with a stunning win over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They also still have one more game before the Eagles which is against a tough Miami Dolphins team. If the Steelers beat the Dolphins then they will be going against Philadelphia with a ton of momentum.

Furthermore, Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett has not lit the world on fire but he seems to be getting better with time. He just threw his first touchdown pass in their last game against Tampa Bay. He also has weapons such as running back Najee Harris and wide receiver Chase Claypool, who Pickett loves to target. This is a team that could definitely stun the Eagles, if their offense is humming and if the defense can hold.

Washington Commanders

This choice is probably surprising to a lot of people. However, the Commanders would be the first NFC East team to face the Eagles for a second time. It is tough to beat a team once, but two times is a little bit more difficult. Washington will probably have a better game plan going into this game. Yes, this is another team that is having struggles as they are 2-4 on the season. They just recently snapped a four-game losing streak, with a win against the Bears this past weekend.

Carson Wentz has played decent throughout the season, but still struggles with turning the ball over. He has six interceptions on the season. However, he is throwing for a ton of yards and does have 10 touchdowns on the season. Terry McLaurin has been their best receiver the last couple of years and he leads Washington with 367 receiving yards this year. There is also the threat of Antonio Gibson. He had a good season last year, but has not lit the world on fire this year. However, there is still time before this game and anything can happen in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers are struggling right now. They are on a two-game losing streak with losses against the Giants and a surprising Jets team recently. However, this game is a while from now and there is time for the Packers to regroup. You can not count Aaron Rodgers out. He may not have a ton of weapons on offense this year but Rodgers is capable of carrying a team. The biggest threat the Packers have at receiver is Allen Lazard, who has 285 yards on the year four touchdowns. Furthermore, the Packers also have Aaron Jones who is having a good year up to this point. He has 409 yards and one touchdown. Time will tell if this Packers team has what it takes to beat the Eagles if they are undefeated by that point.

These are the three teams that snap the Philadelphia Eagles’ undefeated streak.
