The NFL has green-lit each team to wear an alternate helmet for the 2022-2023 season. The latest team to release the look of their new helmet is the Houston Texans. They will wear the helmet pictured below at home in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news and tweeted a picture of the helmet via his Twitter account on Tuesday morning.
Also among the alternate helmets that have been announced are the New England Patriots’ classic Pat Patriot helmet and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ orange pirate helmet worn during their first few years in the league. The Falcons will also be donning throwback helmets from the 90s era.
Stay tuned to TGH for more information on these alternate looks, and a final ranking when they are all released to the public.
