After the early firing of Bill O’Brien in the 2020-2021 season, the Houston Texans hired David Culley as the organization’s next head coach.
The news was first reported by Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo on Wednesday night.
Culley has been the assistant head coach and wide receivers coach for the Baltimore Ravens since 2019. Prior to his stint with the Ravens, Culley was the wide receivers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
Earlier reports suggested that the Texans’ head coach search narrowed down to Culley and Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.
The Texans have yet to officially announce Culley as their new head coach.
