San Francisco 49ers (-1) vs. Kansas City Chiefs
A rematch of Super Bowl LIV is going to happen in Las Vegas this season. The 49ers have put together a roster full of superstars. With Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, Trent Williams, Nick Bosa and Fred Warner, they have several players who move the needle. That has taken pressure off of Brock Purdy, who has been smart with the football this season.
Kansas City has grinded out more games this year and don’t seem like the same team that they have been in the past. Still, Patrick Mahomes is making it work and Travis Kelce has been revitalized in the playoffs. The defense and running game are much improved.
San Francisco has fallen behind in their two playoff games so far. That is not sustainable, especially when the other team has Mahomes. The Chiefs should be able to take advantage of a 49ers’ secondary that leaves a lot to be desired. They may be underdogs going into this game, but the Chiefs will use that as fuel to help them score a victory.
