Minnesota Vikings DE Stephen Weatherly has agreed to a two year deal with the Carolina Panthers. The deal is reportedly worth $12.5 million.
The NFL’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday afternoon.
The 25-year-old defensive end has spent his entire career with the Vikings. He has played in every game, save for one, since 2017. Since 2018 he has had one forced fumble and three sacks per season.
Last year he tallied 24 combined tackles in 16 games, starting in one. The Panthers have added a healthy DE who could earn more playing time very quickly.
