Shaquil Barrett has re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The deal is worth a reported $72 million over four years.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Buccaneers are giving Shaq Barrett a four-year deal worth up $72 million that includes $36 million fully guaranteed, his agent @DrewJRosenhaus told ESPN

Barrett was a key piece of the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl run and was maybe the seminal piece of the entire team before Tom Brady arrived. He is one of the premier pass-rushing linebackers in the NFL, but also contributes to an NFL-best run defense in Tampa.
In 2019, Barrett racked up a league-leading 19.5 sacks. That number took a dive in 2020, as more pieces joined the defense to surround Tom Brady and try to elevate the team to a Super Bowl. He still had eight sacks and two forced fumbles, regardless.
His contract guarantees $36 million, as he stays in Tampa Bay for four years as the Buccaneers try to return to the Super Bowl.
