Seattle is bringing back one of their former draft picks on a new deal. Defensive tackle Jarran Reed is reportedly signing a two-year deal that will be worth $10.8 million. This continues his second stint as a Seahawk.
The NFL’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
As stated above, the Seahawks drafted Reed in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. After joining Alabama during his college days, he helped the Crimson Tide win the College Football National Championship in 2015.
Reed started his career with five consecutive years as a Seahawk. He, then, joined the Kansas City Chiefs for one season, followed by one year with the Green Bay Packers. In 2022, he had 2.5 sacks in 17 games, along with 52 combined tackles.
