Center B.J. Finney is headed to Seattle on a two-year deal. The deal is worth a reported $8 million. He had previously been a Steeler for his entire career.
The NFL’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday night.
Out of 64 possible games during a four year career, Finney has played in 59. He has only started in 13 of them. More than just a center, he has also taken snaps at left guard, and even some at tight end. He has one botched snap during his career, coming last season.
A big draw for the Seahawks is the fact that he only has three penalties 1,023 offensive line snaps. Seattle’s offensive line has been lacking for year, so adding some depth here was paramount for the team.
