The Seattle Seahawks have acquired wide receiver Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints, according to Tom Pelissero. New Orleans will receive a fourth and fifth-round pick in return.
Shaheed, 27, is a four-year veteran known for his speed. He has 138 catches for 2,055 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career. This season, he has 44 catches for 499 yards and two touchdowns.
Seattle gets another wide receiver to stretch a defense vertically in Shaheed. With the Seahawks, Shaheed is reunited with former Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
New Orleans has just one win this season and seem like they are ready for a rebuild. They have turned over the offense to rookie quarterback Tyler Shough.
