Free agent running back Saquon Barkley has reached a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal could be worth up to $46.75 million and has $26 million guaranteed. His average annual salary would make him the second-highest paid running back of all time.
Barkley, 27, spent the first six seasons of his career with the New York Giants. He has registered 5,211 rushing yards, 2,100 receiving yards and 47 total touchdowns in his career. In 2023, he had 962 rushing yards, 280 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Eagles lost D’Andre Swift in free agency and now have a bell-cow running back in Barkley, who they took from their division rivals.
