After having a workout with the team, the San Francisco 49ers have decided to sign defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche according to Ari Meirov.
Nkemdiche, 27, is a former first-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals who has also played for the Dolphins and Seahawks. He has 59 total tackles and 4.5 sacks in his career.
The 49ers will give Nkemdiche a chance to make the roster for the season and provide them with some depth along the defensive front.
There have been no details released about the worth or length of the contract.
